About Us

Welcome to Riad Al Zahia in Essaouira, one of the most special places you will find in the heart of the Medina in the beautiful city of Essaouira, Morocco. Riad AL Zahia is a Maison D’hôtes – traditional and tastefully decorated Moroccan style riad, 5 minutes on foot from the beach and just two minutes from main shops and restaurants. In our riad you will always be very welcome and will feel like home during those well deserved holidays.

Through the main doors, you will come upon the patio where there is a fountain with floating rose petals, two lounges; one with a fireplace, both opening onto the patio. There is also a terrace where breakfast can be served on the roof top with a 360º view over the ocean and the medina.

Accommodation

Riad Al Zahia has eight rooms; on the first floor one suite for four people, two double rooms with double beds and one twin room with two separate beds. All rooms have their own private bathroom with shower and WC.

On the second floor there are four rooms and the distribution is the same as the first floor.
All rooms are beautifully decorated with vibrant colours, different Moroccan styles and some rooms even have antique pieces. All the suites and rooms face the interior of the building.

A triple room is a suite for three people.

Up on the lovely terrace you can have our delicious homemade breakfast while you admire the ocean and the view over the Medina. Then you can enjoy a great shopping day around or just relax on the beach a few minutes from the riad.

Facilities

Riad Al Zahia is a B&B but we have a bar service all day so you can be served cold drinks, tea or even beer or wine in the lounge till 20h00.
We do not have a restaurant but there are plenty of them nearby. There are great places to be recommended where you can eat very well.

Location

Riad AL Zahia has a privileged location in the medina, just a few minutes on foot from the beach harbour, shops, restaurants and main streets.

When you get to Essaouira make sure you get off at the Parking Du Port. This is beside the big square Place Moulay Hassan. When you get there you have to walk towards the restaurants where there are people eating on the street. You keep walking past the Café du France on the left side. Keep walking and go left. You pass by a real estate agency called Karimo. Keep walking on this street till the restaurant Sirocco and it’s the street in front of it.

MAKING A RESERVATION

What am I getting? - Your reservation at the Riad Al Zahia includes bed & breakfast and all taxes. Please note that your reservation does not include transfers from the airport to the hotel.

What happens next? - After clicking "Book Now" you will be directed to a secured page requesting your details. After completing your details click "Confirm Booking." Thereafter you will receive confirmation of your reservation at the email address you provided. Your resevation is now confirmed and no further action is required on your behalf. Once again we would like to remind you that all information provided on EasyAfrica is done securely.

Cancellation policy - Due to the high demand of accommodation in Morocco hoteliers need to be made aware if you are unable to fulfill your reservation. A late cancellation means that the hotelier may not sell the room to another guest. Therefore all hotels have cancellation policies.

At the Riad Al Zahia cancellations made later than 30 days prior to date of arrival will result in a 50% of total cost cancellation fee. Any cancellation made later that 14 days prior to date of arrival will result in 100% of total cost cancellation fee.

Payment Policy - When making a reservation on EasyAfrica a non refundable deposit of 20% is paid immediately to confirm your reservation. The balance is payable to the hotel upon check in/check out.

Reservation Request
All reservations made on EasyAfrica are confirmed immediately online. If however you do not wish to confirm your reservation immediately, require further information before doing so or cannot find availability please send your requests to info@easyafrica.co.uk
